The initative to start a men's shed in Raymond Terrace began in October of 2010 when a representative from AMSA was invited as a guest speaker to the local monthly senior citizens mens breakfast to talk about the mens shed concept and the advantage this arrange brings both to men and the community in general. From this meeting a couple of our members got their heads together and decided to hold a public forum to gain support in establishing a men's shed for Raymond Terrace. The public forum was a resounding success and in early 2011 a steering committee was formed further invistigate and take to shed concept to fruition.
